Insurance and Risk Services

Protecting university assets and reducing financial, operational, technological, and reputational risks.

What We Do

The Office of Risk Management monitors compliance with federal and local laws and regulations and ensuring the safety of the community.

The Workers' Compensation (WC) provides benefits to cover specific economic loss as a result of an injury while employees are performing their jobs. These benefits, as dictated by District of Columbia laws, may include medical, cash, rehabilitation and death benefits.

Risk Management also manages the university driving program where all drivers (including full-time and part-time staff and faculty, students, work-study students, and interns) must be authorized to drive university-owned or -leased motor vehicles.
