Communication June 24, 2024

Dear AU Community,  Ìý

The 2024 Airlie Berkshire Farm Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program’s season is underway! Thanks to our AU community members who signed up for a spring share. We are writing today to share information about our upcoming summer shares and how you can subscribe to be a part of our CSA.ÌýÌý

A CSA program is a direct-to-consumer farm offering that allows you to subscribe to the harvest of a farm. By participating in Airlie Berkshire Farm CSA, you become an integral part of the Berkshire Farm community and support sustainable agriculture while enjoying the benefits of fresh, seasonal produce.  The Airlie Berkshire Farm CSA has two upcoming share seasons, summer and fall. The summer season starts on July 31 and runs through September 25. Fall will start at the end of September and run to the end of November.ÌýÌý

Each week, your subscription box will feature ten to twelve pounds of seasonal herbs, fruits, and vegetables, including squash, berries, broccoli, potatoes, and much more. Summer shares will include items like lettuces, tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, and new for this year, corn, different kinds of potatoes, and a few other surprises. This year, we are pleased to offer advance payment options and semi-weekly installment billing. Single seasons are billed at $369 or installments of $79 every other week (five installments per season). You may also enroll early for fall to secure both summer and fall at a discounted price of $659. Please note that installment billing cannot be cancelled once a share season has begun.Ìý Ìý

The Berkshire Farm will offer three ways to receive your CSA boxes at AU: Ìý
