Memorandum May 8, 2023

Dear AU Community, 

Over the past few weeks, we asked campus community leaders among our faculty, staff, students, and alumni to give us ideas for new names for the Eagle’s Nest and the East Campus markets. Based on those suggestions, we created and are asking the entire university community to respond by May 17 and help us select the best names for these markets. At the beginning of the fall semester, we will share the new names with the community and change signage at these locations.ÌýÌý

You will see this poll across social media, newsletters, and other targeted emails in the coming days to ensure this reaches as many members of the university community as possible. Please feel free to share the poll link with your fellow Eagles and thank you for helping us rename these important places on our campus.ÌýÌý

As previously detailed, this summer we will work with multiple teams across the university on dining construction and renovation projects. These projects, along with the other efforts across the campus this summer, are intended to create a retail hub that anchors and enables the next phases of the Student Thriving Project.ÌýÌýÌý

As a reminder, the Dining Program’s spring operations end on May 10, and we will begin our summer operation thereafter. You can find hours of operation for all venues and up to date information at .ÌýÌý

We wish everyone a successful end to the spring semester and a terrific summer. We look forward to welcoming you back in the fall when we will unveil our reimagined dining and retail venues.
