Bio
Dr. Robin J. Bell is a retired Veteran, who served in the Army honorably for 20 years. After retirement in 2005, Robin went to work as a Contractor in the Intelligence Community until 2018. Dr. Bell currently consultants at the Pentagon, conducting DEIA Training to the Office of Under Security of Defense of Intelligence. Dr. Bell also consults with other Department of Defense Agencies in the Washington DC area. Robin is currently an Adjunct Professor at 鶹ý where she teaches “Into to Criminology” Dr. Bell founded the Non-Profit Organization, “Rehabilitation, Reform and Reentry Resources”, Inc. (R4), in 2018. The mission of R4 is to assist returning citizens with the necessary resources needed to become productive, law-abiding citizens. As well as to provide the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to assist returning citizens with becoming and staying both physically and mentally healthy. R4 also assist children who are impacted by incarceration. The organization provides scholarships to college bound Seniors who are impacted by incarceration. Dr. Bell currently partners with the D.C. Department of Correction with the Lead Out Program! This program supports participants returning to the community from incarceration. They participate in a six-month workforce development training. All LEAD Out! participants receive full-time job placement, workforce development training, and care coordination for the six-month duration of the program. Planning and preparation for full-time employment and post-program graduation is prioritized. Dr. Bell has volunteered with the Alexandria, Virginia Detentions Center, and Alexandria Juvenile Detention Center where she facilitated classes on Life Skills. She speaks at various Universities, Jails, Churches, and Schools on the importance of Rehabilitation and Reform. Robin strives to make it known to the world that Rehabilitation begins on the inside. Not only on the inside of prison walls, but also inside the minds of those who are incarcerated. Dr. Bell is an Adjunct Professor at 鶹ý, where she teaches “Introduction to Criminology”. She is a Council Member of the Alexandria, Virginia Parole & Probation Office, as well as a Public Member of the Board on Professional Responsibility at the Washington DC Court of Appeals. She consulted with the Pentagon, where she was the only Intelligence editor for the Annual Congressional Budget. Robin Guest Lectured at Howard University as well as completed Inside Out Training at Narco Prison in California. She is also a certified Mediator, who volunteered at the DC Superior Court while still serving in the military.
