Ms. Hiba Arshad Anwar has worked in 23 countries on international development programs for both the public and the private sector over the last twelve years. She specializes in gender, migration, and finance in education, and is especially interested in equity and inclusion issues in education as it relates to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ms. Anwar’s current research focuses on the political economy of remittances and education for vulnerable populations in South Asia. She also works with the Pearl Foundation, a community-based NGO focused on education development for vulnerable populations in Africa and Asia. Ms. Anwar has previously worked with the Â鶹´«Ã½ Red Cross, USAID, IBM, and Ernst & Young on program and financial management. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from George Washington University, and is a PhD Candidate in the International Education Policy program at the University of Maryland, College Park.
