Bio
Professor Carmen Helena Ruzza received her undergraduate degree at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Conservatorio Lino Gallardo. She obtained a M.A in Latin Â鶹´«Ã½ literature from University of Maryland and is a PhD candidate in XIX century Literature. Capitalizing on her music background, she constantly introduces music elements in her research as she aims to prove the direct relationship between literature and music. She has also critically worked in the complete works of philologist Angel Rosenblat dealing with his philosophy of language. At Â鶹´«Ã½, she has taught elementary, intermediate and advanced Spanish courses such as Introduction to Spanish Translation encouraging her students to think critically and to use the Spanish language as an open door to access new cultures and realities.
